Irish Potato Season

It’s harvest time again at Candies of Merritt for another once a year specialty candy. In honour of St. Patrick’s Day Irish potatoes are now in store until Monday March 17th.

What’s an Irish potato you ask? This old-fashioned candy has a coconut cream centre which is rolled in a cinnamon mixture, creating a striking resemblance to a potato fresh from the ground. However we don’t recommend washing them before eating.

So whether you say po-TAY-to or po-TAH-to make sure to pick up this tasty treat before the season is done.
