October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Pink is everywhere in the month of October as people around the world show support for those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. In response to requests from customers we have a few different items available, part of the proceeds from which support ongoing research into this dreaded disease.
Bradford Exchange has several figurines out. From Thomas Kinkade’s Inspirations of Hope collection we have Hopeful In Pink and A Vision of Hope. Featured in the Christmas catalogue recently distributed in local papers is Beauty Laced With Hope from the Laced With Hope collection, again from the art of Thomas Kinkade. Donna Gelsinger contributed Beautiful Hope in the Ladies of Victoriana collection.
Hope Is Always In Style, a Betty Boop figurine also shown in this year’s Bradford Exchange catalogue, is expected to arrive soon.
In musical figurines Bradford Exchange has released Wings of Courage, which plays You’re the Inspiration, as well as Pretty In Pink, playing That’s What Friends Are For.
In Cherished Teddies we have the little running girl Hope “Winning the Race” (4015561). Triumphantly crossing the pink ribbon finish line, her pink flag proclaims “I Made It!”.
Precious Moments released A Journey of Hope (104277), depicting a young girl scaling the heights aided by her trusty staff which is topped by a pink ribbon. Her jacket sports a second ribbon.
For something a touch more compact we have a breast cancer awareness angel pin along with a pink ribbon pocket token. Whether as a personal reminder or a message of hope for someone else, a small thing can mean a lot.
