2014 Chocolate Covered Strawberries Are Ready!

Finally after a long cold snowy winter fresh Ontario strawberries are ripening. Friday June 20th is our first day for having milk chocolate covered strawberries ready in store. Like the rest of our chocolates they are priced by weight, whether for a single berry or a whole platter full.

Most days we will do a few berries in dark as well, but not many. If dark chocolate is what you are looking for it is often best to pre-order. Also if you need a larger quantity of milk chocolate berries – say for end of the school year teacher gifts – we are happy to take orders. It allows us to plan our strawberry harvesting properly.

Remember once the berry is fully encased in chocolate they are best eaten the same day. Each morning during the season they are dipped fresh and are usually in our showcase between 11:30 am and 12 pm.

The farm which supplies our store tells us they expect a short season as all the strawberry strains are ripening at once, so plan accordingly. Don’t miss out on this delectable once a year treat.
