New Risotto and Polenta.

In our gourmet section we now carry Polenta and Risotto to add to our extensive Italian gourmet food range. Each package is priced at $2.50 and makes two to three portions.

Risotto is one of the most common ways that rice is cooked in Italian cuisine and originated in Northern Italy. Risotto is usually an appetizer but it can also be used as a side for many dishes. We have Risotto imported from Italy available in two different varieties which can be prepared on the stove or in the microwave.

Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal used in Italian, French and other European cuisine. Polenta can be eaten hot or you can allow it to cool and solidify which is then baked, fried and grilled. We have polenta available in two varieties.
